Its three-layer Gore-Tex Soft Shell laminate gives this jacket guaranteed waterproof protection against the burliest conditions out there, the laminate remains highly breathable, and the outside of the fabric feels incredibly soft and won't make tarp-like crinkling sounds when you're skiing through the trees. Millet brushed the fleece backing on the shell for thermal regulation.

A regular fit leaves plenty of room in the Gakona for layers on frigid days at the resort. Underarm vents let out some steam while you hike, and its powder skirt connects to your pant in order to prevent powder from sticking to your back when you bomb bowls. The hood has a semi-rigid visor that stays out of your eyesight. Millet integrated water-repellent zippers over the center front and sleeve pocket for waterproof protection that most jackets don't have, and Lycra inner cuffs keep your palms nice and toasty while they keep the sleeves in place.
