Very Light and Comfortable

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit:True to size

These make for good late summer/mid season hiking and climbing pants. Stretchy where needed and sturdy where wearing hits the most. Like them a lot even to go out and about. I am 5'9", 176 lbs, and 32" waist on Levi's jeans and beer belly; size M fits perfect.

Great Lightweight climbing pant

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit:Runs small

These stretch well, breathe well and are far lighter than the carhart style canvas pants I've been wearing on longer climbs. I can't attest to how these will hold up, but they seem very well buit and great for warmer days.

Great climbing pants

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

I mostly use these for bouldering, sport climbs and hard trad routes. They're a little baggy in the lower leg which makes for a nice, airy and flowy feel on the rock, keeping things cool when the pressure is on. I'm 6'0", 165lbs and wear a Large in these; the length is a little short and even a little shorter when wearing a harness. I thought this would bother me but I actually prefer it now because it allows me to see my feet from all angles while climbing. My one complaint is that there's no back pocket. I'm repeatedly trying to stuff my phone/wallet/keys in my back pocket...except there isn't a pocket so it feels weird sometimes. These are great, athletic-looking pants made for the ascent.

Great pants

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

I've been using the pants for several months now and they are great. Flexible, light and breathable. The only issue is that these pants don't have a fly - bummer if you need to go. No problem. I had a zipper sewn into mine and now they're awesome!

Great but sizing is off

  • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it
  • Fit:Runs small

This is a super well made pant and I'd keep it if it fit according to the sizing chart which reads 33 inseam. I'm 6'6'' and a perfect 33 inseam and these are crazily short, probably 2 entire inches.

I was also bummed not to see any zip pouches, just the standard stuff-falls-out-of-em pockets, so that was underwhelming but overall these look like had they fit I'd have kept 'em.

Great Pants Buy It

These are great pants for any outdoor occasion. Although it was designed for climbing it is a great pair of pants for anything else. Great legroom, but not baggy. Stretch material. I like the patterns in the black one. Extremely comfortable design. Love it. If you are looking for specifically hiking or backpacking pants you might need something else that is more water resistant. I am 6'1" and 174lb.

    Love the Battle pants

I just used these pants for the first time on a 4 day creek trip. They are super comfy while also being burly. They held up really well on the multiple pitches of grinding against the rock, thanks to the armored canvas fabric. They climb super well due to the 4-way stretch panels in the crotch and knees. I was surprised by how light they were even with a burly face fabric, and the drawcord makes for an easily adjusted fit.

      perfect climbing pants

Not sure how else to say perfect without being totally superfluous.. They're excellent, breathe well, move great, good pockets, great material, lightweight, brush loops that work, elastic waist that is amazing under a harness. The only con is the price but you do indeed get what you pay for. The price is totally appropriate! I have a 29" waist and the small fits perfect. lots of room on the crotch and not too tight or baggy, an excellent balance! Pick them up if you can find them! Great for sport/bouldering or just chillin..

        I am 6'1" and around 190 lbs. with a 35"...
