Named "Super Chalk" for a reason...

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This chalk is great for indoor and outdoor use. Super absorbent and always reliable when you are at the crux and hands start to sweat from the anxiety of wanting to finish that next boulder problem or sport climb route... Highly Recommended...

Quality chalk that ill buy again

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I find that this chalk is a bit better than the BD white gold. However it is just chalk at the end of the day. I'd suggest the bigger the bag the better, who likes to buy chalk often after all?

Good chalk

I haven't really found a difference between this and the BD White gold chalk. Both work well. Just buy some and go climbing.

Good chalk

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I think most chalk is all the same. This stuff is good, been using it for a few weeks now and it is pretty chunky at first, just crush it in the bag and you're good to go, or of course use it how you feel.
In the gym it works very well, anything outside I tend to still use Bison Designs, but that is just because I use two different bags for the occasions.

I like it

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Iv only used generic chalk before i tried this and its great. I like that its solid instead of loose and i think it makes a positive impact in my climbing.

Good Chalk!

chalk is chalk. bought this along with many other climbing accessories. Would recommend this brand of chalk to anyone.

Chalk is chalk

I bought the 425g bag. When you first get it, its really chunky, but this makes it pretty easy to get into your chalk bag. Once its in there you can crush it up or do whatever you want with it.

This is the only chalk I've ever bought and it works fine for me. It seems the same as any other chalk I've ever mooched off of anyone before I bought my own.

The best on the market (if you ask me)

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I like to mix White Gold and Super Chalk about 25:75 because the super chalk is not as dry but it is stickier and harder on your hands. Until you get OCD and picky I don't think most people will notice a difference but I like mixing them.

I may have to try this. I have a couple bags of each.

The best!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I used to use Petzl powder crunch which wasn't the greatest and the climbing gym I work at has bison chalk balls which is ok but this stuff is pretty awesome, provides wayyyy better than the other stuff I have tried. I definitely end up with way more friction with this chalk but doesn't always stay on the longest, but also I sweat like crazy, may have something to do with it

Nice and grainy

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

A lot of people prefer the Black Diamond White Gold stuff, but I've always found that too fine - it seems to just fall off my hands after I lift them out of the bag. This stuff is much better at sticking to me, and thus, helping me stick to the rock.

I've had better....

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Chalk is chalk I suppose. It will still dry your hands out, but it won't keep them dry for long. It's a little chunky too, so it doesn't really give your hands a good coating of chalk.
I've had better success with Black Diamond chalk, but my all time favorite is Bison Designs chalk(nothing even comes close to that stuff).

I love this chalk and decently priced!

Grip Chalk

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The Metolius Super Chalk is an awesome bag of chalk to go with. It offers chalk powder and chunks which is sometimes convenient. The safe drying agent also helps a lot with grip. I would highly recommend this chalk if you aren't sure which chalk to go with.

chalk is as chalk does

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Well, as you can see, it is chalk. You dip your hands in it and it feels all chalky. Then, you pull your hands out, and they are all chalky. Apply said hands to various holds and enjoy!

It's chalk!

We use this at the climbing gym I work at for community chalk. It does it all! dries hands...... it comes a little chunky so it may be a teeny tiny nuisance to get in your chalk sock if you're not using it loose. Not super fine/soft but gets the job done. Get 'Er dun!

Chalk

I am new to climbing, and have used this chalk in the gym and outside. Works great and don't need a whole lot of it either, barely made a dent in the bag in a couple of months

My favorite

For consistency and drying ability, this is the best chalk I've used. It isn't such a small grain that it floats like flour out of your bag, and it drys extremely well. Infact there have been times when I restart using it after not climbing for a few months and my hands aren't used to it and it will crack the skin. You can cut it with a little bit of other chalk or just wash your hands with moisturizing soap.
