awesome bag, no complaints. easy to use, has everything you need for a low price.
- Gender: Male
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Does everything you would expect a rope bag to do. Easy to use and very roomy.
Best rope bag on the market
- Gender: Male
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Fairly durable, protects the rope
Well Worth It
The tarp is HUGE! so is the bag. I am able to fit my 60m rope + pro/harness/shoes...
Bought this for my sister so I wouldn't have to spend 8 hours untangling her rope every time we go climbing. Worth every penny.
Quality, durable bag with plenty of space and a large tarp.
Strap 'er In!
Buy a few compression straps that have buckles, and sinch this puppy down to the bottom of your day pack/assault pack! You can play football on the tarp, it's so big, and everything tucks away super tight. The little transparent window is also handy if you're one of those fancy dudes with more than one type of rope in two of the same bag! I highly recommend this to anyone who wishes to take good care of their rope.
Love this bag!
Greatest bag ever! Takes only a minute to wrap up a 60m rope. Keeps rope very clean and dry. The strap makes carrying the rope much easier. Highly recommended!
This thing gets the job done, and done well. It compresses down nicely, looks cool, keeps your rope clean and organized, and it's pretty durable.
"Black Cross Clipper" Back Panel
My climbing partner has had the Ropemaster Bag for a couple years, so I knew it was a bomber rope bag with full functionality, that packs into a little portable ball with ease. And when I saw the new designs, I was stoked.
I ordered the Black Cross Clipper because it looked sweet, but when i flipped over the bag, this is what the back panel looked like. Not very impressed, and not nearly as sweet as it's advertised. I will be returning this bag and probably replacing the color. With a design like this, multiple angles should be shown.
nice for minimalist sport climbs
love the bag!!!! the rope tarp rolls out with a good deep pocket for your rope with multiple utility loops for attaching you rope ends and gear! then rolls right up into its self leaving enough room for your harness draws and belay device! not to mention a mid-wall snack!! a perfect bag for when you got to get up and out quick so you can make your afternoon board meeting!
This is a great bag. I bought a new rope, and thought that I should have a new bag to go along with it. Very large tarp, with easy ability to pack the rope! I have a 9.5 X 60 meter rope, and I have plenty of room for a harness and a pair of shoes. The buckles are great as well. Easy to undo, the rope is just as easy to get out as it is to get in. I also appreciate the window that allows you to see what rope you have in the bag. I will be buying another one of these bags for my 10.5 X 60 meter rope. Since I will have the same bag, being able to look in the window instead of unpacking the rope will be much quicker! Overall, a great bag that I would purchase again in a heartbeat.
This is a great rope bag and does what it is meant to do... carry your rope. There is only enough room for your rope and your harness. If you want to put your quick-draws or Cams in a bag, you carry 2 bags or get a bigger bag. I carry a lot of gear so this isn't the best bag for me. None the less it is well made!
This bag is great, it's a well built and inexpensive way to store your rope. Much better than the cheap ones that come with some ropes, I feel much more comfortable using this. It's a tight fit, but I have my 60m rope, 2 harnesses a chalk bag and half a dozen quick draws in the bag and it closes just fine.
High quality and a good price.
Great design and quality. My 60m fits on the tarp no problem. The bag material is nice and thick, and the handle and shoulder strap seem very sturdy. I've pulled this bag up some nasty sandstone, dragging all the way, and it barley shows. Great price as well. All around awesome buy.
Talk about a nice bag!
I love it! from practicality to aesthetics, this bag is awesome. I wasn't sure if I should buy this bag or one with a double strap, but I realized that I NEVER used both straps on my old bag. So I went with this. I am extremely happy with the size of the tarp attached and the little window in it lets me know that I'm just a little bit better than by buddies. In all- this is an excellent choice!
I just recently bought two of these bags for my ropes. They are awesome! The tarp is big enough to manage when your doing a loose flake and hardy enough for the several trips to Joshua Tree that I have taken. I am looking forward to seeing how they hold up over the course of the next year but for now I would recommend them to anyone.
Very worth the price
I actually have multiples of this rope bag. The tarp is large and the pouch can store a 70m rope. The straps are solid and I've never had a problem packing the rope up nice and small. The buckles are really nice for cinching down the straps smoothly. They have been really durable so far as well. If I ever need another rope bag I'd buy one of these.
This sort of thing is my bag, baby!
This bag is great. It has a little translucent square so that you can see what rope is in the bag without opening it. The tarp is massive and has a separate pouch to put the rope into before you roll it up. Keeps clean and real easy to pack/unpack.
Pretty nifty little thing
The tarp on this rope bag keeps my rope nice and clean! It makes it extremely easy to pack; for travel or for merely moving from one route to another 100 yards away. Perfect for all use.
