Metolius Ropemaster Rope Bag - 1224 cu in - 2007 BCS

This bag provides just what its supposed to: A simple, clean, and functional place to store my cord. I cinch it up with the solid tightening straps and throw it in my crag pack or haul bag if I have a load of gear. If I'm just out for some casual sport climbing, the Ropemaster has enough room for me to throw the draws and harness in the bag and carry it over the shoulder. If you plan on using this for your only crag bag, I'd suggest moving a step up to the Roperanger and get two backpack type shoulder straps and an extra pocket for your keys, wallet, etc. I've have mine for three years now, and aside from a little dust it still looks brand new.

Simple bag that makes a rope manageable and easy to carry. have had one for a while and lasted longer than my first rope.

this is an easy rope bag to load and unload, and should fit most 60-90M ropes. the built in tarp is also handy to keep your rope out of that dirt.

The construction of this bag surpasses every other rope bag I have had. The functionality of it is great and it holds my 70 meter rope with room to spare. It is easy to cinch up small so that I can stuff the rope in the bag into my pack with ease.

The Metolius RopeMaster does exactly what it's supposed to. It carries the rope. All rope bags need to have a tarp, and this one does. It also has different colored tie in points (nice) so it is easier to remember which end is on top. Other than that, nothing fancy. The drawstring doesn't work correctly on mine, but it's an easy fix. It appears that it should last a good while. But for the price, it seems like it's a good deal.

The tarp is big enough to flake the rope out easily, the tie-in points are different colors so you know which end is the sharp end, and it all rolls up handily and has a padded carry. Combine that with indestructible metal buckles and bombproof nylon, and you have a winner.

Bag has nice metal clips but the cinch is cheap and the tarp is not very thick. I thought I was getting a nicer bag.

I love this rope bag, the tarp is huge and keeps your rope out of the dirt. The only thing I would change on it if I could is the length of the strap to give you more options for carrying this bag with a pack. All and all its the best bag I've used.

I shoulda gotten one with backpack straps... It's fine for one 60 m rope, but add static line or gear and the shoulder strap is too thin and uncomfortable. The tarp is great, but I would buy a more practical bag that fits a variety of situations.
