Kiss rope drag goodbye.

The Metolius Inferno Long Draw comes in three different lengths from 12 to 20 inches to help you keep rope drag down on trad climbs and meandering sport routes. 11mm Dyneema slings and Bravo wire-gate quickdraws keep your rack nice and light, making this draw an ideal choice for alpine climbs when ounces matter, and a rubber jig keeps the clipping 'biner from slipping around.

  • Bravo wire-gate carabiners
  • Rubber jig
  • 12, 16, and 20in slings
  • 11mm Dyneema slings
  • 22kN
  • CE/UIAA-certified

Excellent for Trad!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These things are great for extending pieces on meandering trad routes - they keep rope drag down and are light weight!

They eliminate a small fear of mine in which biners can unclip from circular slings -- on these the biners are essentially fixed at the ends and do not twist or move - providing a bit of added security.

Low profile, lightweight, excellent!

not great!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I wrote a review about those in the past which has disappeared... In any case i can give u the gist - not great quickdraws! the carabinners have hooks which make them impossible to clean on overhangs - exactly the place where one would use longer QDs..
also the end that goes to the wall doesnt have the usual rubber and can flip around.

they are very long so np there but again - far from great especially for sport climbing. I changed the carabiner that goes to the wall myself.
