Ever heard of sport sandals with molded medial and lateral stability posts and detachable rear foot straps? Merrell has—the Men's Waterpro Toro Water Shoes. This means the Waterpro Toro sport sandals support your feet when you have to travel fast, and these sandals can be converted into slip-ins for mild walks. Lycra and neoprene linings feel soft whether you're on land or wading through rivers, antimicrobial footbeds cut down on swamp smells, and nylon flex plates provide comfort and rock protection for the bottoms of your feet. Merrell also gave the Waterpro Toros Vibram soles and grippy lugs.
Bottom Line: Heel-strap sandals one day, slip-ins the next.

Great overall design and quality materials. I do use these as water shoes and would prefer a slightly more aggressive sole. There are a lot of rocks in the water where I go camping, and I found myself slipping more often than with my Salomons. I would highly recommend these shoes for overall comfort and water use when extra grip is not required.

Been in sandals most of my life and love 'em...This pair is better than regulars because it's seaworthy and dries right-down when you beach. It takes 2-3 days to break in, but then their great. Show me a beach loaded with broken bottles...no problem! Well done.
