Classic protection and style.
The Merrell Men's Turku Trek Waterproof Shoe keeps your feet warm and dry from the base of the peak to the bar later that night. Even though the leather and synthetic upper lined with mesh offers a breathable and cozy fit, it’s also incredibly durable and waterproof with fully taped seams and an M-Select DRY membrane. In case temperatures drop, your digits are toasty from the M-Select Warm insulation. Your stride is cushioned from the removable EVA footbed, and the M-Select Grip sole and rubber toe cap protect your feet from rocky terrain.

- Q & A
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Really great shoe. Seems very well made and sturdy. The footbed was very comfortable and ergonomic, making the shoe very comfortable. Moderate insulation and padding make it ideal for light snow and walking. I would order a 1/2 or even full size lower than what normally fits you. I wear a 12.5 in Nikes and a 13 in many other shoes. The 13 from Merrell was too large (unless you plan on wearing multiple layers of socks) but the size 12 fit great.

I picked these up in my search for winter shoes that don't look big and clunky. I bought them in the black color, and the look with those yellow laces and lugs was rad. I was only able to try them on and did not keep them due to receiving a different pair for XMAS. These will officially remain on my wish list.
The sizing was a tad big with thin socks on. I am usually a 10.5 and that's what I ordered, but they were very roomy. I would probably size down a half size, but it could be dependent on your foot shape. I have a LV foot which can cause some boot brands to be roomy. Toe was slightly long too.
I did not get to use them on ice or in watery conditions, but they seemed weatherproof and rugged.
If I ever get to take my dream trip to Scandinavia and Iceland, I will be picking these bad boys up as my every day boot.
