The Merrell Shiver Moc Waterproof Shoe is the same as the original except with a high-quality waterproof membrane. The waterproof membrane means you can slog through snow and slush without suffering from soggy-sock syndrome. Polartec lining with Aegis microbial treatment keeps your feet warm and won’t offend others when you are forced to take them off. EVA removable foot-bed and Vibram sole work together to provide traction, stability, and cushioning for everyday use.

Bottom Line: Like the original but drier.

Perhaps a little too cloggy...

By:

These are great for apres ski and getting wood from the wood pile, even general about town traipsing. The insulation is noticeable but not overwhelming, and the vibram sole grips like a vibram sole should. The only problem is that they feel a bit chunky and oversized, a problem that can be solved by thicker socks. Overall really nice.

On the shopzilla website--where it directs me to your site--the Morrell Shiver Moc says $99.95 crossed out and now $79.96--but when I pull up the shoe to order, it reverts to $99.95---where or how do I get to the cheaper ones????

backcountry.com is not affiliated with shopzilla, that price is most likely for a discounted item, that is not in stock now.

Not a good fit for wide foot

By:
January 4, 2011

A great idea, but couldn't get the right fit for my 11-1/2 wide foot. Size 12 left too much space in the heel, so that the heel lifted out on each step. Size 11-1/2 was too short and tight for my toes. Wish they'd make a wide, because it's a great winter slip-on.
