Heavier and tougher than Mix Master 2

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I've been running in the Mix Master 2 for the past 5 months, and I love the fit, the rock plate, the heel to toe drop, and how light they are. But I don't love the tread, which isn't so good for wet terrain. When they wore out, I bought another pair, and also these Mix Master Tuffs, which have the same tread near the middle of the foot but a more linear pattern near the edges. So far I haven't had any trouble with them slipping, but it's the dry season here, so I'm not sure I've encountered the right conditions. I can say that they have the same fit as the Mix Master 2, weigh a little bit more, but otherwise feel pretty much the same, which is great for me.
