Full grain leather uppers start out this burly, winter-specific offering. Merrell then added numerous proprietary features, starting with its own Select Dry membrane, to add waterproofing without sacrificing breathability. Select Warm insulation was then added to help keep things warm, even when the weather outside is howling. Select Fresh friendly microbes were added that help to eliminate odor-causing bacteria, before they start to smell. On the bottom of the boot, Merrell added its M-Select Grip which is specifically tuned to different activities for slip-resistant traction on wet terrain, dry terrain, and everything in between.
