R they water resistant?
R they water resistant?
Yes, they will certainly be water resistant---just not waterproof.
Love love love
These boots are fantastic. They are warm, stylish (confirmed by multiple compliments) and oh so comfortable, as I have come to expect from Merrell. There is none of this "I just have to wear them in" business with merrell - their shoes are awesome from the moment you put them on. I am sure they will last for ages as all merrell shoes are top quality.
Ordered my usual size 10 and they fitted perfectly, even with thick wool socks. I found the fit in the leg just fine, even with my jeans tucked into them. They were heavenly to put on after a long day on the slopes in ski boots!
Get them, you won't regret it!

Hi. I have a pretty wide calf how wide is the top of this boot in circumference also do you know if the yarra model is much shorter in length that may be a better one for me to buy since I have the wider calf thanks
Awesome boot, but very narrow calf
I loved this boot, but the calf was just way too narrow for me, so I had to return. It is very comfortable in the footbed, as you would expect from Merrell. And, it is really stylish. Awesome boot for those lucky women with very thin calves.
I wear a 6.5 normally. Should I buy that...
I wear a 6.5 normally. Should I buy that size or go up a size to 7?
Sarah, my wife and I both have to size-up a half size for all our Merrell products. I would assume these boots would be the same way and I would try the size 7's first.
Love These Boots!!!
I have nerve damage to my feet, primarily the soles. It is beyond hard for me to find any comfortable shoes or boots. I bought a pair of Merrell Encore Breeze 2 this summer and was amazed that I could actually wear them without pain. When the boots came out, built on the same specs, I had to have a pair. They wonderful. I wear a 7.5 in the Encore Breeze 2 but bought an 8 so I could have room for a thin sock. Perhaps they are just built a half size smaller. Have no idea.
They have wonderful cushion comfort both inside and out. I would not say they have excellent arch support but I don't need it. I am so happy Merrell made these boots. They are very stylish as well.
Only problem was the first pair had a zipper issue. The zipper was not sewn in properly and rubbed on the side of my foot. Backcountry has excellent customer service and I returned my pair as they sent out another and it was made correctly. Thumbs Up for that!!!
(If you do need arch support I would suggest the Teva Vero WP boots that Backcountry sells.)
saved me from wiping out!
these boots are not only great looking, they are also super warm and have great traction. one day i took my ski boots off and my feet were so frozen i could barely walk. i put the apexes on and the sticky rubber outsole saved me from falling on my face in front of the entire lodge!!
