Great for travel

These are great running shoes, I've used them both on trails and on a treadmill and they are very comfortable for short to medium distances. My only complaint is that the toe box is rather large for me, so about a mile or so into my runs my toes start to get blisters from the extra space. I've started wearing the thinnest socks I own, and can now run comfortably in these much longer than before. Really light and easy to pack for travel too
Light and comfy

My wife loves these shoes. She wears them for Zumba, only complaint she has is they grip really well which isn't the best for a dance class. Certainly not a deal breaker as they aren't a dance shoe.

Other minimalist shoes degrade on rough terrain. This one is equal to the task. Clutch toe room. And Merrill stands by their gear. Am super happy with these. They're going on my next thru-hike
Worth it

i initially got these shoes just for running. i had a chance to try them out at a running clinic. i love how they let my foot fall just as wants which normally i feel is a bit forced in my other shoes. after the first week of wearing these i decided to wear them to work (i stand on concrete floors for 10 hours somedays) and they are fantastic! only shoes that don't hurt my back for the whole day.
I LOVE these shoes!!!

I was hesitant to buy a pair because the colors were a bit bright. After wearing them the first day, I was in LOVE! These are the best fitting and most comfortable shoes I've bought in a long time. I like them so much I bought 3 more pair in different colors. Then last weekend I bought 4 more pair in case they stop making it (which is usually what happens when I find something I like). I wear these everyday, all day and my feet are very happy! And I have had countless people (both men and women) stop me to ask what they are and where I got them .

Bought these for my wife. She loves them and wears them every day to work. They did not require any "break in" time. They fit well, are true to size, and the blue color is very vibrant and matches the picture. They have also held up in the washing machine twice now. Great shoes overall.

I debated a while between the dash gloves and the pace gloves but ultimately decided I'd be using them more often on paved surfaces. I'm happy with the decision. I went with the 9 (which is more true to my size than the pace gloves which fit better as a 9.5). The dash gloves feel great on my bare feet--no blisters yet and I definitely noticed sore calves after the first few uses. I've only used them for walking so far and they feel great. After pregnancy, I plan to start running with them, and hopefully my feet will have built up some strength before then from all the walking. So far I love them!

I love these shoes. I wear them for short runs / walks in my neighborhood, the road surface running from paved to gravel to dirt. I have to watch where I step on the gravelly parts but I expected that. I normally wear a 9 in running shoes and the 9 in these fit perfectly, I've never had any blisters (I don't wear socks w/ them) or other foot problems. I think they're making my feet stronger too. Definitely worth the money.
(I would also like to say, these were my first order from Backcountry and I'm very please with the service. I also really love the "get stoked" emails, I realize it's a marketing tool, and it really works.)
