The Merrell Women's Chameleon Shift Traveler Waterproof Hiking Shoes blur the line between boot and shoe, so you can wear them out on the trail, around the campfire, and in the city. Wet and muddy trails won't be an issue thanks to the waterproof insert. And when the trail is less of a trail and more of a series of cairns spread across miles of sandstone, the Chamelon's durable nubuck upper will resists wear from abrasive rock. Their tongue is gusseted to keep annoying little sticks and twigs out of your socks, while their anti-odor lining prevents your socks from passing along any unsavory odors to the shoes. The shoes feature Merrell's trail-specific M Bound midsole, which is generously cushioned to deliver a smooth feel in rugged terrain but remains responsive enough to keep your feet adapting to the changes in the trail.

Ordered them on sale and I am pleased. I tested them in wet conditions and my feet stayed dry. They look good, too - they have the look of rugged hiking boot look but have the technical structure so that they are lightweight, flexible, and waterproof. Solid.
