The Merrell Men's Chameleon Iso Hiking Shoes are all about breathability, light weight, and support. Airflow mesh shows up in the heels, tongues, and sides of the Chameleon Iso Shoes so your feet won't have to suffer in sweaty silence on hot summer hikes. While the tops of your feet remain cool and calm, the bottoms of your feet benefit from the Chameleon Iso Shoes' air-cushioned midsoles, molded arch shanks, and Ortholite footbeds. To bottom these Merrell hikers off, you get 4mm lugs and grippy Vibram soles.

montainboogey,This particular Merrell Chameleon is not waterproof. The waterproof versions will keep your feet dry, but there is a trade off of them not being as breathable. The Iso is a bit wide but other than that, it runs true to size.
