It will "hold its own" it is a great waterproof membrane. We rarely see leaky boots..

So far, I'm impressed with these. They provide great support but at the same time they aren't heavy or clunky like a lot of boots get. They also really are waterproof! I would recommend these to anyone looking for a lightweight boot that will still stand up to anything you put them through.

Great snowshoe boot if you are moving, but they are not insulated so dont stop long!

If you're sticking to fairly packed trails, these would be fine. If you will be getting out into the deep stuff you might want something more insulated and some gaiters.

these are the sleekest and fastest looking mid hiking boots i have ever seen. they have great arch and ankle support but aren't clunky or ugly. love these hiking boots!

I ordered a pair of Merrell Chameleon Arc 2 a half size larger than my normal size. The length was fine, but I found the width too narrow and very restricting when I tried on the shoes with my hiking socks. I think the Merrell shoes look better in the photos. In real life, the toe box is weirdly tapered, unattractive, and uncomfortable, IMHO.
