Description

Race tested, race ready.

The Maxxis Columbiere Road Bike Tires use a slick design with subtle siping to provide extremely low rolling resistance without compromising versatility. Two-ply rubber increases puncture resistance, so you don't have to sweat about losing a race due to a technical. These Maxxis tires have become the go-to rubber for the Health Net pro road racing team. You can bet they've been tested to the limits.

These tires are probably the best road tires I've ridden. Over 800 miles on them so far and no flats running them at 100psi. The only tires I'd recommend over them are the Maxxis Detonator and that is only because the Detonator is cheaper. However, the Columbiere is faster.

Gotta say no to those Maxxis tires - I've ridden the Colombiere for a season and they flatted with signficantly higher regularity than anything else. Pinch flats and punctures. I even employed the old baby powder trick to no avail.

I disagree. The Columbiere's are the best tires I have used, training or racing. Easy to roll on, great cornering stickiness, and pretty punture proof for a racing tire. I'm a believer.

I also disagree. these tires are awesome and THE best that I have ridden. I have almost 1000 miles on mine and used them quite a bit for commuting with no issues.
