Plasma Helmet

Mavic's one of the few companies that makes road and mountain bike gear, so it's only logical that the Plasma Bike Helmet was designed to handle both disciplines with making you look like a goober in either one. It has an aero-inspired look—it even has a spoiler-type deal on the back—that's perfect for the road, but more rear coverage that's in line with mountain-bike helmet norms. Mavic designed the Plasma with its Ergo Protec Alutex construction, which allows for the inclusion of ginormous front vents without sacrificing protection, and hooked it up with a removable visor so you can fine tune style and sun protection. The company also engineered in an Ergo Hold Retention one-handed fit-adjustment system (apparently it likes to preface everything it does with "ergo"), and lined the Plasma with moisture-wicking Ergo Fit Pro Pads to keep your head cool, dry, and comfortable. Reflective details finish the helmet off and help you make it home safely when your road ride takes you into the twilight.
