The amount of technology that Mavic has crammed into the Men's Infinity Bib Short would make NASA engineers blush. Mavic's Ergo 3D Ultimate Insert combines full 3-dimensional construction for exceptional fit, 3-density 6-thickness foam for the right amount of padding in the right places, and an antibacterial soft-surface fabric for less stink and more comfort. The stretchy, breathable open-mesh bib feels like it's not even there while it keeps the short firmly in place with no riding or bunching. To top it all off, strategically placed Wick Matrix fabric and Carbon Power fabric give your muscles support for improved performance and faster recovery.

Totally Awesome Bibs!

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I have been using the Helium Bib shorts for sometime and love them, but last year I bought a one other Infinity Bib Shorts on sale. Now I am forever spoiled. These are some of the best bibs I have ever used. Right up there with the Hincapie Signature Bibs.

Try Something Else

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I bought these 1.5 years ago because they were on sale. 2 weeks ago I noticed the seam had tore open (about 3/4" hole) where the chamois is sewn to the shorts fabric. These shorts are in equal rotation with four other pairs and I use them just for road riding, so I would estimate they have about 900 miles on them. These shorts are way too new, with too few miles to have ripped like this. Additionally, the chamois comfort is mediocre.

By comparison, my other shorts are Capo (3 pairs) and Assos Mille (1 pair). The Capo shorts I got from my club team, so not sure which model; however I've owned them since 2008 and they are still comfortable, tight, and intact. And its not like the fabric is so thin you can see my butt crack when the sun hits just right while riding in the pace line - which is the worst when you're riding behind that cheapskate guy who's still wearing his Greg LeMond shorts. No, those are scandal-less shorts. I 100% recommend the Capos and Assos over the Mavics any day.

Great Bibs

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

After grabbing these on sale & spending a few hundred miles in theme I'm tossing out a few older pairs of bibs. They seem to perform similarly to my Sugoi RS/RSE bibs.

They've kept my legs from overheating while baking in the mid-day Colorado sun for hours & I my nether reaches stayed comfy at the same time.

I'm 6'5" 215 & I find the sizing to be true to most American manufacturers (not European). I bought an XL & it fits great. The shoulder straps are the most comfortable I have (more so than some European XXLs) as far as pressure on my shoulders goes.

My Go-to non-team bibs

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

Picked these up from back country since they were on sale and I needed some bibs that fit. They have become my go-to bibs to wear on rides where comfort is king - even after 5hrs in the saddle I felt good.

One of my favorite part about these is the webbing material used on the shoulder straps - its light and barly noticeable. Combined with the comfortable chamios these are definetly my favorite ones right now.

Only down side is they do come up high on the waist, so pee brakes can be a little harder than others.

Runs larger than advertised

Go down a size otherwise this is huge. I wear small in nearly every other brand but this small fits like a Large.
