Here's what others have to say...

Cozy when the weather is crap.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

This winter it became my go-to for the 30-40 degree rides; when the weather is on the colder side, a long sleeve base layer and on the warmer side, just a light short sleeve one.
It's wind-proof, and cuts the chill on those raw damp-cold training days.

For fit, I'm a 5'8" and 155 lbs triathlete, and it's just right in M - enough room for the base layer, maybe slightly flappy in the wind.

Awesome and Warm

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

This jacket is awesome for winter commuting/cycling. I live in Utah and my regular jackets weren't breathable enough to get me around town without having to open my jacket up to the 20 degree air or have steam pouring out. It even looks nice enough to wear wherever you are going without feeling like you are wearing a jersey.

Would this jacket fit a 6'1" tall 190 lb. dude with broad shoulders and a long torso in size large?

Responded on

Well, this jacket is made to fit up to a 40 inch chest and if your shoulders are as broad as you say they are then I imagine you are going to have to size up.

Really nice cycling jacket.

I've had my jacket for about 3 months now. I have used it in weather as low as 32 degrees. With a wool jersey under it I've been very comfortable. Very stylish, functional, and the fit is great. The rear 3 pockets hold a lot of stuff. I would definitely buy it again. The bright red color is great for being seen by drivers.

Great jacket for cold weather.

First off the fit is perfect for me at 6'2" 185lbs and the fit allows some layering under so it's not skin tight. The pockets front and rear are a great addition and hold all the essentials. The cuff design is great since the material is able to stretch over top of gloves instead of having to mess with a strap of some sort, which is difficult with gloves on. The jacket does a good job at keeping me warm by itself into the 30's and is comfortable into the 20's with an extra layer. Highly recommend this jacket!

Why only two stars? Which size did you end up getting?

Great Buy

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've been in the market for a windproof biking jacket to ride my fixie/ss on the daily commute to work and back (10 miles each way) in NYC winter weather. I'm very pleased with the performance of this jacket, it keeps me warm but not hot at around 30-40F with one base layer (usually a thin hoodie that I like). The fabric is completely windproof and has air vents on the armpit area; I'm yet to test how it performs with rainy conditions. I'd say it's true to size if you are the athletic type, I'm 5'11'' and weight 170lbs and it fits perfect in M and I have long torso and broad shoulders. I like so much that I'm thinking of buying the Spoir Jersey for when the weather gets around 50-60F.

Nice. I just ordered this and your description of the fit and size made me confident to pick the small for me (i'm 5'5 and 125lbs), as with most other cycling gear I have. I'm pretty sure I'll still have some wiggle room in there for a winter base layer. Thanks for the review!
