Description

Style for Hollywood; sporty enough for the dedicated outdoor freak.

The Maui Jim® Cyclone sunglasses features an 8-base wrap style, and are great for smaller faces. The fashion and versatility of this style makes it ideal for sporting activities or relaxing on the beach. The high-quality lens combines PolarizedPlus® Technology and optically correct, distortion free vision with a carefully crafted frame. A polarized lens' primary function is to reduce glare—that is, light reflected from a flat surface which greatly diminishes color and contrast. A body of water, a windshield, and even an asphalt road are all notorious producers of polarized light. Polarized lenses are most useful when trying to see through these reflecting surfaces, like when fishing, boating, or driving. Maui Jim sunglasses feature one of the most effective polarized lenses on the market. They are lightweight, tough, and very stylish.

Will these frames support prescription glasses? If so can the same qualities in the standard sunglasses also be utilized in prescription glasses? I'm nearsighted and currently using verlux(?) type lenes. Any rough idea what these frames with this type scrip would cost?? Also can you give me the answer for Shoreline glasses??thanks

Both the Cyclone and the Shoreline are Rx able, but it depends on your prescription because there are limits. Also, there are many lens choices from MJ, so price is dependent on what you choose. As far as quality goes, MJ makes all of their own Rx lenses so you will receive the same quality as the non Rx version. Your local eye Dr should be able to help you out. You won't regret getting MJ prescription, they have the most state of the art lab in the world!

I returned a pair of sunglasses because they were too small for my husband's face. I ordered another pair. Backcountry has very prompt shipping and the return process is very fast and easy. The prices are very competitive. I will do more buying from this company in the future.
