Named after Mary Jane's husband because these are his fave. With a smoky outdoorsy flavor and little bits of un-bacon bits and cheddar cheese, these spuds are the perfect couch food for guys. Add boiling water directly to the pouch, stir and eat. No kidding, guys prefer these every time.

Bottom Line: Delectable backcountry cuisine.

My dogs will also eat rabbit poop. I tried one mouth full and gave it to the dogs.

nice change from the "noodle and chicken" backpacking meals

Actually I added more water than the directions called for. I guess it depends on how you like your potatoes. Also, I thought the flavor was great, a nice change from the "noodle and chicken" backpacking meals.

Less Water!

If you expect mashed potatoes, you will be disappointed - it is more like potato soup. Use less than the recommended amount of water and add half cup at a time and you may get better consistency. It did not taste horrible, but there are much better potato options for backpackers.
