Marmot created the Zonda 2-Person 3-Season Tent for backpackers who want a lightweight design but don't want to sacrifice their comfort in camp. Though it weighs only 4lb 8oz, the Zonda Tent increases usable floor space with steep walls and includes a 9sq foot vestibule for dry storage. Pole clips make this double-wall Marmot tent quick and easy to pitch. A unique pole design makes the walls steep enough that you can sit up nearly anywhere in the Zonda Tent, so moving around inside won't be such a hassle.

Bottom Line: When you want low weight but don't want a single-wall design, pack the Marmot Zonda Tent.

Great Tent

I don't understand the poor reviews of this tent. It obviously isn't a big seller as the aurora seems to have taken its place among marmot 2p tents on most reseller sites, but I've owned this for two years now on numerous backpacking excursions in the middle of nowhere and have never had a problem. The rainfly attaches easily and keeps me dry. There's plenty of room for two inside the tent, along with a decent amount of gear. If you go buying a tent for two people, don't plan on having all of your gear inside of it anway. That's what pack covers are for.

really small

i've borrowed this tent from my friend before and it's just....tooo small..super cramped and on one occasion grabbed this one instead of the 3 person marmot tent..(which is ALSO super small) and dang....what a mistake...we were making a ryan sandwhich...i'd say it could fit 1 under average sized person with enough room...north face makes a better one in my opinion. more room.

Great tent a little tight for the fit!
But I LIKE HOW IT SETS UP EASY!

I used it for summer ski mountaineering in the cascades of washington!

A bit too small.

This tent is fantastic if you don't plan to sleep two people in it, and you always have a car or secondary place for the storage of you gear because the vestibule space is entirely inadequate. Also, My fiance is 5'1" and I am 5'9". This said, we both had trouble sleeping in it. I am an avid climber and love backpacking and despite this we still had trouble with the size of this tent. Overall, the tent is fantastic quality but it is comparably smaller then any other two-person tent with which I have had experience.

Poor Customer Service

By:
September 28, 2009

If you ever plan to deal with the customer service, do not buy Marmot Tents. I sent them mine about 6 months ago (my tent has a lifetime warranty). After 5 years and about 5 2-3 day hikes per year the seam tapes started to go off. After 2 months I called them to find out that they received the tent and would replace it. I wasn’t happy, since they no longer produced a single person tent for a 6ft tall person, but said OK. 2 months later I called and was told that my tent had mildew and would not be repaired or replaced. They offered me to buy a net tent at a discount. The cheapest I could find would have cost me over a $100. I said NO, I want my old tent back. They said they would ship it. 2 months later – no tent. I called them and the guy named Fry told me they still have my old tent in their office.
By the way, I dried my tent after every backpack and didn’t see any mildew when I sent it.
