    Thin, hard material.

This is a light, thin belt with thin, hard material. It can pinch you and is uncomfortable when it rubs. It's so hard it's edge is almost "sharp" against your skin. Otherwise it's tots my 34-35" waist well. With the material was just a little softer and thicker.

      A belt...that works!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
      • Fit: Runs large

This has worked well enough for me so far. The material seems to be a type of webbing, the buckle is metal, and so it seems to be durable enough.

It came pretty long for my 28in waist, and so I had to cut the neat little Marmot logo at the end. Oh well. Still a great belt, just a little pricey for what you're getting.

      Perfect active belt.

I use this belt on a daily basis and love the adjustability of it. It is super simple and that makes it versatile. I use it sitting in the office and then wear it when I'm climbing. If you're looking for an all around belt that adapts to whatever you're doing, pick up on of these. One thing to note is that they are very, very long. I just suck it up and use it, but if this bothers you, a hot knife is going to set you straight. You can cut it to length, but you're going to lose the "Marmot" on the tail, but obviously this doesn't affect the function.

Just needs a simple stitch to fix

I picked up this belt because it's simple and extremely light. I was going to go the MYOG route, but they are the lightest and best D-rings I've found. I've use it for multi-day trips, vacationing light and skiing.

If you cut it to size and just burn the end, you might find it poking you sometimes. Instead use a seam-ripper and run a basic stitch to put the MARMOT piece back on. (what, you don't fix or mod your own gear yet?)

      keep it simple

Great belt. It was a little long for my 34" waist so I cut the label end off at an angle and singed it with heat. Works great now. I mainly use it as my airport belt since it rarely goes of through the detectors.

Belt is thin against your skin

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
      • Fit: True to size

Was looking for a slim belt to wear on my pants, but underneath a backpacking waist strap. I couldn't be happy with how thin it is. Barely there, and super sturdy, not worried about it slipping. Looks great in brown too.

What's the length of this belt? I have a 31" waist and I don't want the extra strap to be hanging around.
