The temperatures may be running below zero outside, but you’re running around in a cami—under the super-warm Marmot Women’s Whitestone Jacket, that is. Super-warm 650-fill goose down lets you pull off this feat, along with the MemBrain two-layer fabric and fully taped seams, which allow no moisture to penetrate while still breathing comfortably. Hook-and loop tabs and elastic in the cuffs seal out drafts, while the rib-knit hem snugs the jacket at your waist. You’re scoring style points when you cover up with the Whitestone, too; the down-filled, zip-off hood sports a plush removable faux fur ruff, and the cute bomber cut is always in fashion.
Bottom Line: Wearing shorts mid-winter is going to be a little tougher.

The material is a very nice heavier twill type of fabric. It is much stronger and thicker than other down jackets I have owned where I often worried that if I snagged them on a nail, thorn, whatever they would just rip right open.

This jacket is AWESOME! It was exactly what I was looking for since it's not too long but still not too short that it doesn't cover my back. I like that while it's down it also doesn't feel too puffy. The material is a very nice heavier canvas? type of fabric. It is much stronger and thicker than a nylon jacket. I really like how I can remove the fur (without removing the hood) since it covers my eyes and makes it hard for me to see. This jacket is worth every penny and it's so warm I don't even need to wear a bunch of layers under it! On sizing it runs small so I ordered a size up and it fit perfect.
No. Down jackets like this usually don't have any vents. If you want a jacket with vents look at the soft shell jackets. Not nearly as warm, but very handy for layering.

This is a lovely jacket! Bought it in anticipation of moving to Kansas, and being from the South, I dread winters below 32 degrees. Anyway, I feel super prepared & thrifty for finding such a great deal!
No. Down jackets like this usually don't have any vents. If you want a jacket with vents look at the soft shell jackets. Not nearly as warm, but very handy for layering.
