Marmot Urban Hauler Bag - 2008 BCS

I use this bag as my gym bag. It's less bulky than a regular backpack and more convenient than a tote (since you can just carry it on your back). It's definitely larger than I originally expected, but it's different (in a good way) than most other bags out there and by far the most low-key gym bag I've owned--I don't mind carrying it if I have to go out after work and it's definitely come in handy at the grocery store.

This is the perfect all-around bag. I use it daily for trips to gym, farmers market, picnics, etc. I initially thought that the open design at the top might let in rain/snow, but it's a non-issue as the bag closes at the top once you have it on. Super light and nice design. I'm a huge fan.

As usual, the quality from Marmot is fabulous, no complaints there. I have the medium, and I haven't used it once.I thought it would be more lightweight, but with the lightly padded back panel, it's really in the size and shape of a light daypack. Given the fact that I have other day packs with more features, this bag hasn't ever seen the light of day. For groceries, I prefer a lightweight stuffable bag instead of this, I can't imagine walking to the store with an empty backpack on my back when I could just toss a few nylon bags in my purse.

The bag that I received didn't match the colors of the bag I was shown. It's a lot bigger that expected and is better for a laundry bag than groceries.
