Trestles 15 Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Spirafil - Women's

Marmot concentrated more insulation in key areas of the Women's Trestles 15 Synthetic Sleeping Bag to stop you from shivering through the night. Wave Construction keeps the strategically placed Spirafil insulation from shifting, so this bag provides consistent warmth night after night. Marmot added a DWR coating to the Trestles 15 Sleeping Bag's shell, so the morning frost doesn't soak the synthetic insulation after you spend a night under the stars.

Bottom Line: Just say no to being cold.

Hardy, extremely warm sleeping bag. Recently took this on a short 3 day backpacking trip into RMNP, where it was quite cold at night without being able to have a fire. This bag was so toasty I slept in only a sports bra and underwear, and still had to unzip it. This was quite unexpected, I usually freeze since my body doesn't regulate its temperature very well and usually just sends it out to the atmosphere :( But this bag definitely trapped in all the heat I was letting off!

for a synthetic, this bag goes in the stuff sack easy, and then compresses real small. And the extra zipper on the side makes it even more versatile, and comfortable to use.

Yes, all the Trestle's bags come with a compression stuff sack. They don't, however, come with a storage sack.

Warm and Cozy

By:

I love the fitted style of this sleeping bag and its inner pockets. I have enjoyed this sleeping on cold winter nights in the house when the heating has been off, to the base camp of Iztaccihuatl (Mexico). It is light, soft and has a good warmth to price ratio.

I have the regular size and I am 5' 3''--I have a bit of wiggle room.

We apologize for that, usually we are pretty good about getting out tech specs up with the product. Sometimes though our content writers get a lil behind..don't fret though we get to all them eventually. In this case though to answer your question about that bag specs, pack size etc. I did a lil homework for you.

The Weight of this bag is 3lbs 10oz's.

Nice bag

By:
June 8, 2010

Used this bag on a resent trek in the mountains and am pretty happy with the performance. It kept me warm even though the temp was prob. below freezing on a couple of nights. I did sleep in my ski base layer (top and bottom) plus socks but i do get cold very easily. I found that it was easy to pack (which is not always the case with sleeping bags)so that's def. a plus; the side zipper was also very handy for nights when you want some extra ventilation

Great bag for the conditions I slept in. I'm very happy with my purchase.

By:
July 6, 2009

The lowest temperature on my camping trip was 11 C, or 51.8 F, which is 36 degrees higher than what this bag claims, but I thought it would be helpful to post this review anyway. I am an inexperienced camper, 30 years old, 144 pounds, 5’5”, medium-sized. This was my first sleeping bag purchase and I spent a lot of time researching different bags. I tend to get cold very easily so I was intent on finding a bag that would keep me warm. This bag definitely kept me warm in the conditions I slept in. It was toasty, hot, and very nice. I felt the temperature contrast with the outside as soon as I unzipped my bag and it was stark. I slept in a tent on an air mattress with one layer of light clothing and thick socks. My feet were cold without socks at 11 C, so that is something to keep in mind. As far as comfort, it was great. I did have to get used to the mummy style, but I found the bag moved really easily with me as tossed and turned. I got used to it by the second day.

Size note: I purchased the 6-ft bag and found that was the perfect size for me. There was extra space in the hood area, but I think it would have been too tight/small for me had I gone with the 5’6” option.

Does the women's bag have zippers on both sides of the bag (the men's bag lists itself as having dual zippers . . .)?

Dual zippers means two zipper tabs so you can zip it open from the bottom, not that it has two zippers. This bag is probably the same way.

Great for the Price

By:

I bought this bag for my wife and she loves it. It is her first sleeping bag (she only started backpacking when she met me) and it is such a good deal that when a girl friend of ours started hiking with us we recommended it to her and she got it as well! Great bag, better price! Although it does not pack up very small...still 5 stars!

Can't beat this quality for the money

I was dedicated to Swiss backpacks for years. However, I needed to upgrade and I saw this and recently took it on a two-week trip. IT WAS PERFECT! The bag was perfectly designed for a woman, especially me! I am 5'5" and the bag was the ideal fit (any taller and I think the regular would be too small). I am often cold at night, but not in this bag! It was comfortable and perfect, and really light!
I recommend this bag to anyone who is looking for something on the warmer side, cute, well-made, small and light.

so cute and so warm

By:
June 9, 2008

Bought this bag for a mid May camping trip to Mesa Verde, CO. I was really worried being cold at night but decided that 0degrees was a bit much for someone who didn't expect to camp below 30 degrees. I'm VERY happy with this purchase. When the weather dropped I was warm and snug in my little mummy bag. In the morning when the sun came out i just unzipped a little to cool off. The bag is very comfy too and not too snug which was another concern. I'm 5'5'' and it was my perfect size. It's a great purchase and it's cute too.

At 5'6", you're on the edge for height range on this bag, so it'll come down to whether you want to be more comfortable or more thermally efficient. That said, I bought my girlfriend a women's bag, and she likes it a lot more than using one of mine, mostly for the feet warming and general cut of the bag.I kinda dig that the first answer comes from a guy named Big Brian. Nice work brother.

Great Bag...

I'm writing this on behalf of the wife... she has been very happy with this bag thus far. We have been hit by some very cold nights recently, and she has been nice and cozy in the Marmot Trestles 15. The bag is very well constructed with solid seams, tough zippers, and good fabrics. I highly recommend this bag for 3 season use, you won't be disappointed.
