Description

Simple, effective warmth for going the distance.

Before you step outside for your chilly morning run, pull on the Marmot Men's Tempo 1/2-Zip Softshell Pullover for some extra warmth. Breathable fabric makes short work of sweaty vapors underneath while you hammer out the miles, and a headphone port inside the chest pocket makes it easy to listen to some music. Alone, this top fights the cold, but underneath a shell jacket, it serves as a toasty-warm mid-layer on the most bitterly cold days.
  • Breathable softshell material allows sweaty vapor to escape from underneath so you feel comfortable, not stifled
  • Water-resistant softshell material shrugs off light precipitation
  • Angel-Wing Movement allows a wide range of motion in the arms
  • Elastic bond cuffs and elastic drawcord hem lock out chilly drafts

i dont care how 'high tech' this material is. it feels thin and cheap. sleeves were way long. color was nice. bottom line: not worth the price.

I purchased the Tempo Half Zip hoping it would work as an all around pullover. I was surprised in the weight and the material - didn't think it was heavy enough however it is more than I expected. It's fairly rain and wind resistant. The pullover is really comfortable, stretchy, fit's great (I'm 6'1"and about 205 - the XL fits very well) and feels soft against the skin. It's definitely warm and breaths very well. It doesn't have the heft of a mid-layer but performs just like one. Once again...great piece of gear!

I purchased this for mountain biking, but since it is time to ski the backcountry that is where I am using it. I already own 2 pieces of marmot m3: the "scree pant", and the "tempo hoody", as well as the "half zip". They are all my go to outer wear for BC skiing. Extremely breathable, stretchy fabric is the key. I sweat big time, and I am never wet in these. Sorry hard shell, but you are obsolete. On days where the temps are ~20F light base layer, next the half zip, and use the hoody as the outer, and i have perfect comfort and wind and snow protection. When warmer strip off the hoody, and i still have light snow and wind protection. kudos to marmot for creating this fabric, and mostly for doing it at a cost for the average person. Arcteryx, take note. Also, I might add I am confident the half zip will be the perfect Mountain bike shell.
