By using a unique combination of nylon and Cocona polyester Marmot gave the Men's Switchback ½-Zip Long-Sleeve Shirt a versatility that other base layers can't touch. The nylon face fabric provides excellent wind resistance, increases durability, and won't pill like 100% polyester shirts. Marmot added the Cocona treatment to keep the Switchback Shirt from soaking up your odors, so if your tent stinks after a week in the backcountry, it won't be because of you.

Bottom Line: Unlike any base layer out there.

I'm a-wonderin' about this product, and its short sleeve cousin (not yet carried by Backcountry). Is is light enough for hot weather running? Is is a snag-magnet, or abrasion resistant?
