The Marmot Sweetwater Lumbar Pack holds gear enough for an afternoon hike without being too bulky to make the cut on a trail run. In addition to the easily accessible water bottle pocket, the Sweetwater Lumbar Pack includes two front pockets, two waist-belt pockets, and a media port for your tunes. Marmot used their AirFlow Back Panel to increase cooling and keep you from sweating when the temperatures skyrocket.
Bottom Line: Hiking boots or running shoes—this is the pack.

We used a 750ml Camelback and 1000ml Nalg. perfectly fine.

Just took it to the Tetons and loved its comfort and size. My wife packed it full of everything from meds and emergency clothing to water and a HD HandyCam. I even used it a few mornings to pack my tripod and extra SLR doodads for early sunrise pics.
I love it.
The waist belt pockets could be a little bigger, but they worked fine for chapstick and room and car keys.
