The pinnacle of powder protection.
You have powder-specific boards, but what about your pants? The Marmot Women's Spire Pant was made for ripping through deep stuff; its Gore-Tex 2L shell offers full waterproof protection from deep snow, but also allows water vapor to escape which is key—you're likely to be working up a sweat skinning to those fresh lines and even on the way down, too.
- Three-layer construction with a Gore-Tex 2L waterproof breathable membrane ensures you stay dry and comfortable, no matter what the weather's doing
- Full seam taping and water-resistant zippers prevents leaks in vulnerable spots
- Articulated knees reduce excess fabric and improve mobility
- Full side zips make for easy on-off, even over boots, and allow for ventilation
- Removable suspenders offer a comfortable fit and a little extra protection from snow in the back
- Internal gaiter keeps the snow out of your boots
- Reinforcement patches at instep help prevent damage from ski edges and crampons

These pants are a great fit except for 2 things. The inseam is a little too short for me, (I am 5'8" and purchased a medium), and the left sided suspender constantly is falling off my shoulder if I wear them. Other than that, these are comfy, do not require a belt to hold them up, and keep you dry.
The Womens Spire Pants: Size XS says size...
The Womens Spire Pants: Size XS says size 4-6 and you are out of the S size. My question is I wear a Size 6 and have a new pair of Patagonia Snow Bell pants in a size S and they fit perfectly. Is the XS really a true 4?
Hi there, I just received these pants as a gift in a size small. I normally wear a size 4... I am about 5'5" and 135lbs and these are very roomy. I suspect the XS will fit you fine as long as you don't mind a more snug fit vs. a baggy fit.

I've used these 20+ days so far. They're great; totally waterproof, the small is really well sized, the bib works great (and is easy to unzip when you have to go to the bathroom), and the yellow is excellent.
update! Better than I imagined!

So, it has snowed here in Utah- and these are the only pants I've worn so far. Day #1= 54 inches in the backcountry. These were great pants to tour in- with this type of day, the hardshell was necessary but the ventings helped a ton on the ascent. With this much snow at a low angle, i was deep in powder- the bib kept everything out of going down my pants, and the adjustable gaitor was snug against my boot and I cannot believe how no snow creeped in anywhere.
Day #2= 15 inches of very wet snow in rainy/sleety conditions. Again, this pant surpassed my expectations. This was the wettest day I can remember in a long time and the pants kept me dry and happy all day- which has proven to be a tough thing! The water never soaked thru my past and I was out for a good 5 hours. Amazing!

I see a lot of product come through on photoshoots and usually I just check it out and move on to the next piece. I actually didn't want to take these off. I can't tell you how these perform but I can tell you all about how they fit. The bib is adjustable and doesn't look bulky under a jacket. The length is perfect and these pants run true to size. The color is incredible. Overall I never get obsessive over a pair of pants but marmot made an incredible product here and you should buy it. If there were 6 stars, I would have given these pants that.

These look so pretty in my closet. And feel so good walking around in my living room. Now just to test them out. Fit is killer (true to size) and the colors are amazing- super bright and fun. The suspenders- come on. Doesn't get much better than this. I'll be back with a performance review once I can get out on the hill with them.
