Exactly what I was looking for!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

This is a great hat for hiking. It keeps the sun out of my eyes and off my head, and also helps keep the sweat from running down my face.
And it only looks a little goofy on me, but that's probably not the hats fault

Marmot Simpson Hiking Cap Rocks!

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift
  • Fit: True to size

My son used this hat on a recent 40-mile trip on California's Lost Coast Trail. He appreciated the vent holes and deep brim for cooling and shade from the all-day-every-day sun. The blue color (no longer carried by bc.com?) looked nice with his "blue sapphire" Marmot Precip jacket.

True Blue

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift
  • Fit: True to size

Well, I actually got this as a gift; but since I don't wear ball caps, I gave it to a friend of mine instead (re-gift? No, not really, since it wasn't presented as a gift, just 'here, you can use this').

Anyway, he says it's really comfortable, and breezy (he works outdoors a lot and needs a cap, and was surprised at how much air flows through this cap.
Great color, too...as we both like blue, so it worked out great.

nice n cool!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

Sweet hat! nice vents on the side to keep your head cool. I use it for warm, sunny days on the mountain, or hiking in the back country.
