Silkweight Bottom - Men's

The Marmot Silkweight Bottom is a base layer made from incredible wicking fabric that keeps you dry—and therefore warm—when you're hard at work or play in the winter. Qwick Silkweight material pushes moisture away from your skin to its surface where it quickly evaporates, making these bottoms ideal for backcountry skiing (think sweaty skinning), alpine climbing, and the like. When you wear your base layers consistently, funk can build up. But Marmot has coated this season's Silkweight in BacteriaStat Anti-Odor technology so you come out of the season smelling springtime fresh. These bottoms are silky smooth, and are the lightest-weight base layer on the market.

Bottom Line: The ultimate base layer for backcountry skiing or any high output sport in winter.

These base layer bottoms have excellent wicking capabilities, and feel perfectly comfortable against my skin. I stand 6'0", and bought the XL size, which is a little too big. I was worried about my 36" waist, and now know that these will fit comfortably all over and are made to be worn tight. There is no pull or pinching because the material is so silky-smooth, and talk about heat transfer and control -- these things work! I love them -- from winter bike riding, to winter camping, to wearing around the house on cold winter nights! A great buy!

Great beginning layer for comfort when warmth is not an issue! I use them underneath my pants shell in high activity.

Great for camping or lounging.

Feels like silk, but much more durable. Waterproof, quick dry, anti-odor, and washer friendly are the major advantages to this high-tech polymer silk. It is great for the warmer months. Clothes easily slide on and off over material and if you're out in the backcountry you don't have to change thanks to the anti-odor system. Marmot products are always better.

MARMOT UNDERWEAR

By:
December 15, 2006

This underwear fits very well. The material is very much like tights but the crotch is full with a fly, which is OK while walking around the house. Probably a good base layer but here in Georgia haven't used it as such because it's been warm.
