The Marmot Men's Scirocco Jacket is the softshell of choice when you're climbing or skiing in really cold temperatures. This Marmot softshell jacket provides similar insulation to a 300-weight fleece but with the weather protection of Enduro DWR-coated Avid stretch fabric. The Scirocco Jacket is water- and wind-resistant enough to fight off a moderate snow storm. It's also dishes out excellent breathability to keep you from overheating while you're breaking trail in knee-deep snow.

Great looking jacket, good medium weather wear

Nice, light-weight jacket. Good for the trails and even around town. Hand-warmer pockets block the wind well and jacket has a nice cut. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a nice looking water-resistant, wind-breaking layer

Great material, very lightweight, compactable but still keeps the chill out. Great to stuff in a pack for skiing if it's a little too warm for a full jacket.

Good stuff

I bought this as a stand-alone shell for spring and fall, and it seems like it will work well for layering when winter hits. Breathes well, and there are plenty of nice big pockets, inside and out.
