Marmot Rim Jacket - Men's - 2004 BCS

Overall I am quite happy with the jacket. The waterproofing and seams have held up well through a couple of mild weather rain storms. As off yet, all of my workouts have been in the 5 to 15C range and with the pit zips and the front pockets open it breathed/vented fairly well. Though I have found that I get alot of internal condensation in the fore arm area when the cuffs are cinched tight. As far as sizing, i am about 185cm but i found the large to be a bit big and long in the body, especially for cycling, but that is probably due to my lanky build. As well, I like the idea of hook-and-look closure tabs along the inside of the front zipper but would be better if there was more than just three internal tabs. Or that being said to scrap the hook-and-loop altogether a put in a two-way zipper.

I am very pleased with this jacket. It's waterproof, well made and light. It seems to breathe well.

This jacket is simply amazing! It has withstood severe downpour for over 3 hours and kept me dry all along, all while exercising myself. Whenever I felt I was starting to overheat, the Precip Plus fabric kept pushing the moisture where it belongs, outside. I also love the features like reflective tape on hood and collar, stowaway hood and napoleon pockets, as well as watertight zippers. It is pricier than the regular Marmot Precip, but you "Get what you pay for," right? Almost. This jacket also got me through some serious Sierra storm while snowboarding keeping me dry and comfortable, just as any Gore-tex XCR would. Although It is for rain only, I would definitely use it for 4 season shelter again. Gotta love this jacket!
