When you climb out of the tent and discover your alpine meadow is covered in frost, you'll be glad you packed the Marmot Men's Ridgecrest Insulated Pant. A layer of synthetic insulation keeps you warm while you break down camp, and the DWR finish allows this pant to dry in a flash after you brush up against dew-soaked foliage.

  • Nylon fabric with a DWR finish is lightweight, abrasion resistant, and quick drying
  • 40g synthetic insulation increases warmth in cool weather
  • Regular fit provides freedom of movement
  • Tricot-lined waistband is soft against skin
  • Side cargo pockets, zippered back pockets, and front hand pockets keep essential items safely stowed

Pretty warm but....

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I took this pair of paints to Kilimanjaro and they turned out to be pretty warm but some of the insulation (white material) came out of the buttox area, although it did go away after a wash. I am about to take this pair up to Mount Elbrus and I am afraid this will happen again.

Love those pants!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I didn't want to write a review after just testing the pants at home and around the block, I waited for a real test. That was in Yosemite high country at around 30F during the day and 17F at night (in a sleeping bag though). My overall conclusion is that they are great for hiking - soft, comfortable and quite well insulating. The fit is also good and seems true to size, somewhat contradicting what another reviewer stated. I usually go with a set of thermal underwear and soft shell, but these were just as good.

Great warmth, snug fit

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small

Warmth and insulation is equal to my previous thermal bottoms and nylon travel pants combo. A very soft feel make these very comfortable camps both for outdoor use and indoors. I find the fit of my 32" Ridgecrest far more snug than other Marmot 32"pants.

Great Fit

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Ordered Sunday night online and they arrived Tuesday at 10am. There so soft and fit so well true to size for sure. I'm so glad I was able to get such great pants at this great price 49.98 and 14something for fast shipping. the lining is so soft and so is the outer layer these pants are great for mobility the picture doesn't show that to well in my opinion. I cant find any flaws in these pants. Every stich is perfectly started and finished. Once again very soft. Seems like they will be great for any climate that's not hot. I'm looking forward to putting these pants threw the wringer. Sierras here I come.

Another excellent Marmot product

I fish all year round, and I LOVE these pants. Great for weather from 25-65. I have 2 pairs, and I will order more. Excellent fit, and very comfortable.

comfortable, warm

These are super comfortable and very warm. Nice for around the campfire when temps are down below 50, and great for hiking in the 30s. DWR coating is very effective. I'm almost sad summer is here. Almost
