Marmot Reactor Zip - Men's - 2007 BCS

The Marmot Reactor Zip is a lightweight fleece pullover that's intended use is as a midlayer for sking. But it sure looks great out and about around town as well. This is probably the softest fleece I own. I mean soft soft fleece. My wife can't keep her hands off me, and I'm butt ugly, lol. Seriously, it is the softest. The fleece should hold up well to piling based upon the tightness of the material, and the seams and stitching seem well made. I would have liked to see Marmot include elastic wrist and waist cuffs in lieu of a loose shirt fit, and why it received a 4.
In so far as Backcountry is concerned, I highly recommend them to anyone and rate them as BEST IN CLASS for customer service, pricing, and return policy. Simply awesome. A++

Soft as it gets and warmth to weight ratio is superb. Excels under a shell. This is a definite piece to add to your winter attire. Word of advise, these run large, you may want to go a size smaller. I'm usually an XL (44 R) and this XL was too large, at least for me and I was looking for a third layer. I would highly recommend this.

Seems to be pretty well made and keeps you toasty warm. The one improvement I would like to see is a little more elastic in the cuffs to keep the sleeves from sliding down on my hands so much. I do like the flap behind the zipper that runs pretty much all the way up to keep the zipper from hitting your neck.

This is quite a warm fleece, great insulator. However when it’s just a little windy out side the wind will go right through.

As a pilot flying every day, it's hard to find gear that keeps me warm yet is lightweight and easy to move around in. The Marmot Reactor fleece does just that so it's perfect in the cockpit or trail biking.

I use this fleece for insulation when I'm active in cold weather. It's very soft, and pretty warm. I would say it's probably 100 weight. My only issue with it is that it doesn't breathe very well, but that's pretty much expected from a simple fleece jacket. If you sweat easily, maybe look at the full zip. Otherwise, it's a very good layer.

I was looking for a high quality, lightweight fleece that would provide a good warming layer for the Alaska summer. This was ideal, and I would highly recommend it for temps in the 40s and 50s , although I suspect it would be fine for 30s as well. Quality was excellent. Best fleece I own.
