Marmot Rocks!

  • Gender:Male
  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

Just bought a Radiator Fleece to replace my old one. No issues at all with the collar. This 200 weight is my favorite fleece. As always, service from Backcountry is superb. I ordered on Monday and received it Wednesday.

Does the jacket have inside pockets?

Great basic fleece

  • Gender:Male
  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

Nice, warm fleece that fits well and looks good. Unlike the reviews below, I have not had the issues with the collar folding in or any problems with the zipper. Torso is a bit longer than I was expecting so it extends past some jackets (like an inch or two past my TNF Apex Bionic). Nothing fancy, but it serves its purpose.

great information. Thanks for posting it.

Recommended Basic Fleece

I'm learning to like Marmot products. With the exception of a certain pricey brand that used to be made in Canada, none of the usual outdoor brands seemed to fit me right, until I discovered Marmot. I'm a 190 lbs, 42L coat size, 35" sleeve, and I like an athletic fit. The size L Radiator fleece was trim, perfect arm length, long torso length, and I was told my shoulders looked good in it. It wasn't all loose around my waist. Zippers and seams seemed well made, too. Only drawback? The front of the collar seemed determined to try to curl back in towards my neck. Maybe the zipper can be worked to lay differently over time.

I have a long torso and arms. great post.

    Nice fleece, annoying collar

Always liked marmot soft shells, but this one has very irritating collar. It wants to fold in and down towards your neck. This is not only annoying because the zipper rubs your neck but also if you are trying to wear it with the collar flipped down or just unzipped. One side will stay open and the other stays pushed against your neck. Great if you are wanting to wear it fully zipped but not so much unzipped.
