With the Marmot Precip Baseball Hall a little rain won't put a damper on your golf game, backpacking expedition or run. Marmot sealed the the seams of the Precip for waterproof protection from the wet, and made it easy to adjust for a just-right fit thanks to its hook-and-loop closure. A DriClime sweatband also helps wick the sweat off your brow when you nervously encounter a bear or a wicked hot chick on the trail.

Marmot PreCip Baseball Hat Rocks!

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I've worn this hat backpacking for years. It's an essential part of my gear - especially for alpine trips. Its comfortable and lightweight (1.9 oz) and it gets the job done. And I look pretty good in it (if I do say so myself!)...

Marmot PreCip Baseball Hat Rocks!

Not Completely Waterproof but okay

I did a long backpacking trip on the Northwest coastline through Washington with this hat. Needless to say, it rains a lot up there and I wore this hat quite a bit.

I would deem this material water "resistant". After about 20 minutes of rain, my hair was wet and the top layer of fabric had soaked up a decent amount of water. Let it be known, this is NOT as powerful as a Gore Tex brand or something similar.

I guess in the end, it did dry fast but the whole purpose was to keep my head dry. I probably wouldn't buy again unless I found something that had a better membrane.
