The full-length side zippers on the Marmot Women's Full Zip PreCip Pants make them a smart and versatile choice for everything from backpacking to alpine climbing. You can put on and take off these waterproof breathable shell pants even when you wear boots or crampons thanks to the full-length zippers. Marmot used full seam taping to ensure the Full Zip PreCip Pants keep you completely dry when a big storm rolls into camp. Even with all this protection, these pants weigh only 10 ounces.
Bottom Line: Ensure you have full weather protection for your trip by packing the Marmot Full Zip PreCip Pants.
They run VERY small, so order a larger size that you would normally. I was disappointed by these pants b/c I ordered the largest size and they were still too small. I wish they were more true to size. I had to return them b/c they were too small even at the largest size.
These run small. I am usually on the smaller side of XS. The XS fit great everywhere except it was too tight in my waist (I have a 24" waist). I have no hips/thighs so when I tried the S, it was too big on my hips/thighs. If you have a normal curve, these would probably fit you well if you order a size up. These are meant for use in warm or cool climates - the cut isn't optimal for layer over a soft shell or synthetic insulation layer for winter.
I don't know which size I must take. In the size tabel they say I'm a medium, but I am pretty small and for my lenght (1.77 m) I have short legs. Can anybody help me?
I agree with all the comments about these pants running a little small, especially in the waist. I wear a size 2 pant, got a small in these, and the waistband is a bit tight. If in between, I would size up.

These rain pants stood up to some really heavy rain and wind with lots of bending and movement on their very first night. They were long even enough for my 6'1 long body and kept me cool in the day and warm at night. These pants were a great purchase!
sizes run very small. I bought a medium and had to exchange for a large and I think maybe I really should have got an extra large. And I'm a size 10. otherwise, the pants are awesome.
I recently took these on a month-long backpacking trip in the Rockies. They were absolutely fantastic!! I ordered the mediums, which were a little short when sitting (5'6" 130lbs) but they were one of my most valuable pieces of gear...not only for rain and hailstorms, but also mosquitoes. Only one complaint- I had to patch a small hole or two in the seat, but I was a little rougher on them than I should have been. Now I'm just wondering where the longs went...
I like the precip pants over other rain pants because they have two, zippered side pockets. It's hard to find good rain pants with pockets. These pants have kept me warm and dry on very wet hikes in the Seattle area! I've been soaked and miserable too many times when I wore regular hiking pants. The precip pants are worth every penny!
These do fit tight right at the waistline, but the velcro, elastic, and zippers make them tolerable if you are thin or order a bigger size. The long size M has about a 33 inch inseam (thanks Marmot for making longs!). The cut and style is pretty stylish, for rain pants.
These pants kept me dry (and warm) through 6 hours of continuous rain while hiking. They were more difficult to put on than I anticipated due to the tight waistband and cold fingers (which made zipper manipulation difficult).
I ordered this pants because my hubby wear his for over 7 years now. I can't say anything because I knew that mine will last long and the material is really good. I had an extra small but I returned it and ordered a small size because the first one was so tight that it was hard for me to breath......lol. Make it sure to order the next size.
I normally wear a women's medium, regular length in about everything, but these pants are way too short to do their job. When worn over full height boots, the cuffs come to just above the top of boots, which does no good when it is raining, as all the water runs into the boots, instead of over them. (Yes, gators would fix this too, but so would replacing these pants with a size long, which I'm going to do.) Lesson: if you are 5'7 or taller, order the ladies long.
Marmot makes wonderful products...and thanks to them for thinking of us tall women and making the rain pants in long!!! I rate them a 4 only because the side zippers could come up a little higher to make it a little easier to pull over my large, mid-weight boots. Kept me dry as intended, so I am very happy. Lightweight and compress quite small.
I don't really like this pant. first it doesn't wick moisture and traps heat. second, I bought the xs size and its inseam was too shot and I am only 5'1. third it was noisy and alert people my each step. Fourth it was tight in the waist and I have small waist. I hope people who want to purpase the xs do read this, but might not apply to other sizes.
I liked everything about these pants except the waist. I don't have a large waist, but I am all about comfort and these were too tight. I generally wear a size 8 in pants and will exchange these for a large to see if that works.
They run VERY small, so order a larger size that you would normally. I was disappointed by these pants b/c I ordered the largest size and they were still more...
