Pinnacle Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Down

The Pinnacle is Marmot's most versatile 3-season sleeping bag. This 15-degree mummy bag introduces a new anatomical "Sarcophagus" design that has bumped up the squirming space, the warmth retention, and the overall comfort. The Pinnacle has a spacious 11-baffle foot box, down-filled draft tube to seal in the warmth, and a 20D DWR-coated nylon shell to keep the 800+ fill down dry.

Bottom Line: The Pinnacle of versatility from Marmot.

This is my second Marmot bag and I'm extremely pleased with it. It's roomy, well-made, and the temperature rating is quite accurate. The water resistant shell also does a great job in shedding condensation when the bag touches my tent wall at night. You can spend more to shave a few ounces with lighter materials, but you won't get a better quality bag. Perfect three-season bag for the mountains, and built to last.

Awesome Sleeping Bag

The Pinnacle kept me warm in 20 degree weather in Idaho without even zipping it up all the way. Compacts down very well, I even have the long version. Well worth the money.

I'm considering buying a Marmot Pinnacle. I'm about 5'-11".

Meets all expectations.

I received the bag as a gift at Christmas and haven't been able to test it properly, but I did upgrade from the Sawtooth to the Pinnacle based on ratings and the 800 fill power. Living in MD I didn't know if I'd be able to really test its capabilities, but I spent a night out during one of the coldest evenings here... around 20 degrees. I must be a warm sleeper, because I actually felt almost too warm, and that was outside of a tent on my deck on a Thermarest pad. The foot box is amazing. The zipper actually doesn't seem as easy to use as the Sawtooth, but the overall comfort is definitely a step up and worth the difference in cost. Packs to almost nothing, and seems to be more durable as well. Not meant for use in Florida but... Go Gators! :)

I've been looking forever to find a bag that will suite my needs. This bag is fabulous! Super comfortable, packs down pretty well, very warm, draft collar, the foot box in particular is warm and comfy.

Marmot Pinnacle +15

You get what you pay for, right? In this case, that answer is a definite YES! I have used this bag in grassy fields, on the side of a 14er, and on top of a snow bank, and have been comfortable every time. There is enough room to move a little, and the collar doesn't rub me the wrong way when drawn tight. Very light, very compact, an excellent 3-season bag for Colorado backpacking.

Quality bag

I used my Pinnacle last night for the first time. This is a quality bag. The fit and finish of the construction is perfect. The collar around your face is hook-and-loop free and is very comfortable. There is plenty of squirm space in this bag which I like. The footbox is super warm. I can't say enough good about this bag. Fully satisfied with the purchase and with this site. I explained what I wanted to one of their Gearheads, and he nailed it when recommending this bag. Thanks.
