Steve from down the block has 27 different fleeces, because he thinks he needs them. He's wrong. You're smarter than Steve, so you grabbed the Marmot Norhiem Men's Fleece Jacket, which is warm and technical enough to be worn hiking, backpacking, or as a cold-weather layer, but chilled-out enough that you can wear it around town without a second thought. Make sure to tell Steve.

great medium weight fleece, with a hood

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:Runs small

Short version: a good looking medium weight fleece that feels dense and cozy, with a hood. Runs a bit small compared to other Marmot, especially in the shoulders.

Long version: I have found this fleece jacket to be very cozy due to its dense fleece weave and medium to almost heavy weight. The fleece weave is also not fluffy or loose on the surface so this is a fairly durable jacket in my opinion. Seems to cut the wind pretty well though clearly not windproof.

How I use it: A great cozy fleece jacket for going out on cooler days.

What I wouldn't use it for: Not typically a piece I choose for layering as I find it to be a bit thick or constricting for that use.

Fit: I have multiple Marmot items and find that this runs just a little small compared to other pieces I have, especially in the shoulders.
