Marmot Neve Vest - Women's - 2006 BCS

The search for the perfect down vest has become my own personal Holy Grail Quest. This vest was the latest in a long line of vests that I have tried. This vest is very soft and what I found to be the perfect amount of puff. The fabric had a very nice hand-feel, was thick enough to be durable, and seemed like it would wear well. It packs down into a compact ball (and comes with its own stuff-sack). I loved the length of the vest--it is a little longer than most I've tried on. The cut is a little too generous in the shoulders for me(I do have very narrow shoulders), making the vest gape (even though the armholes are lined with elastic--which is another classic example of the attention to detail that makes Marmot such a great company). I also found that the vest seemed a touch large. Even the small was too big. Overall a great vest, but probably not the best choice for petite frames.

Wanted a vest and it was sold out from another manufacturer. Husband said to me (who used to be a snowboard instructor) "buy a Marmot, it will last forever" ....so, I did after much deliberation.
Bottom line is, not only do I love this vest- warm, fashionable, comfy, and simply perfect...but have caught my husband putting it on under his coat when he walks the dog. (been in the teens here) so yeah, I would say it's definitely worth it. Any item of clothing that we can both enjoy is a plus!

After trying on many vests in search of the perfect down vest that blended function, comfort, and style, I finally found it! Marmot has created a fantastic product that fits an active woman just right. The fit is slender to fit a womans body, but is still long enough (unlike many womens vests) to eliminate drafts and stay comfortable. The elastic collars in the sleeves prevent drafts and don't cut off your circulation. The fuzzy inside of the collar prevents chaffing of your chin and is a great place to wipe your nose ;). I would recommend this vest above all else, it is fantastic, not to mention that the color selection is really great. I have worn this vest climbing, skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, and just hanging around, and it seems to be perfect for all occasions. Look no further, the Neve Vest is absolutely the perfect vest. Trust me, I have done the research.
