Barely there yet totally windproof.
Training for, and competing in, the Bighorn Trail 100 requires the protection of the Marmot Women's Nanowick Jacket. This endurance event occurs in a place where wind is a familiar foe so you'll want something to battle the breezes, leaving you free to take in the scenery. This ultra-light, windproof jacket has an athletic fit so you're not running in a shapeless sheet. Elastic at the cuffs and hem create a barrier against sly bits of weather creeping in. DriClime mesh lines this barely-there wind-buster to eliminate sweat from your list of frets so you can focus on the last 50 miles you have to run. The Nanowick also packs into its own chest when the weather is a non-issue in case you hate the feel of fabric flopping around your legs when you tie a jacket around your waist.
- Nylon mini-ripstop
- DriClime mesh (poly-nylon blend)
- Windproof, water resistant, breathable, moisture-managing
- High collar, rear pull adjust
- 1 chest zip pocket, doubles as jacket storage

- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
I bought this jacket in the sea glass blue at the last minute for a trip to Ireland and France. I wanted a simple jacket that would ball up really small in the bottom of my bag and could easily be worn if it got windy and rainy...which it definitely did. Very stylish yet surprisingly warm for a wind breaker. Wish I would have boughten something like this YEARS ago. It's now my new favorite. I wanted a fitted fit and am 5'3" petite to average size, the small worked great. In the photo I have an Under Armour Hoodie on underneath the jacket just because I already had it on.
