Dad loves it.
- Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
- Fit:Runs small
Runs a little small so I ordered a size larger and it's perfect. He seems pretty happy with it so far.
So Far So Good
- Familiarity:I've used it several times
- Fit:True to size
- Size Bought: Medium
I got a medium which is what I normally buy Marmot in and the fit is good for a shell. It's goretex so you can't beat that and it is a pretty light and minimal jacket which I like. I can fit a baselayer and 2 synthetic midlayers under it fine. If it is tight anywhere when layered up its in the arms for me, but I have beefy climber forearms. With layers there seems to be plenty of room in the torso.
I like the Nano fabric, it breaths well.
- Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit:Runs small
- Size Bought: xl
However I find that it runs small.
is the cut the same as the Marmot hyper lyte jacket?
I'd like to know this answer too.
I'm 5'9"/160lb (42" jacket) and have the Hyper Lite in a men's size L and it's too long and a bit too roomy through the torso for me, although the M was too tight under the arms. I'm considering the Nano AS as an alternative, but not sure if I'm a M or L.
Thanks

i agree. it runs small. it's what they call an athletic fit. i wear a medium in the precip. i tried a medium in this jacket, it fit, but it fit a little too snug for a rain jacket. i decided to go with a large which is only about a half inch wider through the torso than a medium precip, which is a regular fit. it's a tad long on the arms, maybe a half inch longer but still fine. on the large you also get about an inch more in torso length. i'm 5'9" 185 with broad shoulders. if you're looking for something to run or cycle in i'd stick with your normal sizing but to wear for backpacking and just around town i'd size up.
