Great insulation and performance

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small

I wore these all winter long 2013-14, which was a record cold winter for us in Virginia. I trained with my dog doing obedience, agility, search-and-rescue work outdoors, and plain ol' cardio. We trained about 10 hours per week outside in temperatures 0 to 35 F, and I wore these pants almost every time. They held up well and felt good. They kept off the rain, snow, sleet, and wind. I usually wore heavy weight running tights or fleece pants underneath. At 30-35 F, I would just wear yoga pants underneath.

I am 5'7" and weigh 136 pounds. I have narrow hips and poor waist or bum definition. A medium fit me perfectly. I take a small in most brands, so I'm going to say these pants ran small, but I think that goes for all Marmot pants. The inseam was perfect for me even though my legs are a little long and the gaiters were actually too long if there is such a thing.

Great pants!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

These pants are warm, insulated without being overly bulky. I use them skiing in Maine in single digit temps (negatives this season with the wind chill) and my legs are always warm. The waist is a little bit loose but it does have a velcro belt built in which is nice. Also - the deep blue purple color is gorgeous.

Keeps me warm

Colorado in January at 12,000 feet and temps in single digits and these keep me warm. Great color, sufficient number of pockets but wish they were a tad roomier. I am 5'4" 100 lbs, and got a small: length is perfect, waist is still too large even with Velcro, but fine by me since I like a loose fit.

Great Pants!

I purchased these with the hopes of find something very comfortable that I could use for snowshoeing. I read the reviews across sites on the www and thought about whether or not to take a chance and purchase them. I'm glad I did. The pants are very comfortable. I'm a size 10 and they fit very well. The waist seemed to be a bit big, but the velcro adjustments really helped make them just right for me. The pockets are placed in just the right places. They do make a little bit noise while walking, but I'd rather have the insulation and the noise than be cold! Great pair of pants.
