  • Brushed lining in chest and footbox reduce the shock of sliding into a cold bag
  • Dual zippers and two-way zipper sliders add convenience
  • Snagless draft tube prevents leaks
  • Two hang loops make storage a cinch

Excellent Summer Bag

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

Use this bag primarily in Texas and the Southwest. Great bag. True to temp ratings. When it was colder than 50-55 degrees, I was cold. Anything over 55, and I had the zippers open for venting. Just like having a blanket.

Does this bag have full length zippers on...

Does this bag have full length zippers on either side? A 50 degree semi-rectangular bag seems great, unless you don't have a full length zipper to vent.

How big is the bag when packed? Is it small enough for backpacking?

It comes with a good compression sack. I just compressed mine down and was just under 8" x 8" compressed. With the compression straps loose it was under 13" x 8". Note: mine is the LONG size so the regular It also comes with a sack that looks like a laundry bag (cotton maybe?) for storage so it doesn't loose it's loft in case you don't hang it like in some stores. It is one third the size of my 20+ year old bag. (yes, I have been away from the outdoors for quite a while and trying to get back in!)
