Really nice bag

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I spent two nights in the bag this weekend and it was superb. This is a three season bag for me in Texas, summer excluded. Stuffs very easy and bag compresses well. I really liked the two zippers and ray functioned very well. No complaints - all around good bag.

Looks funny with no hood but it's great.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Very comfortable. For 3 season camping it's really a good bag. The hood really is unnecessary for 3 season camping anyhow so it lightens the bag by cutting the extra weight. This is my most comfortable bag. The zipper is top notch (never sticks). The cinch string is one stretch cord. I REALLY wish all bags used the same kind of cord. You just grab and pull. There's no 2 types of strings like most new bags have. For winter camping, this is my favorite bag to stuff into another bag because it's so easily maneuvered within the outer bag and there's no double hood to get loused up. (Caveat: Here in MN you really do need 2 bags in winter. Even -20 bags aren't warm enough)

It packs down tight if you put it into your own compression sack.

Decent weight unless you need ultralight.

For the price, I think you will be quite pleased.

Great bag!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is exactly what i wanted in a sleeping bag, comfort, cut, length.

The Maverick 20 is wide and roomy for those that hate the restricting squeeze of a mummy bag but also want to reduce dead air areas.

Only reason for the 4 stars is due to it's weight.

Bag 3 lbs: 8.8 oz

Stuff Sack: 4.1 oz

Total: 3 lbs 12.9 oz.

The site specs read "3 8 oz", a possible typo which may have prevented purchase. However, this bag is very comfortable and worth carrying a few miles.

Will the marmot Mavericks zip together?...

Will the marmot Mavericks zip together? What are the length/width dimensions?
Thanks!
