Change with the weather.

Putting its commitment to better manufacturing practices front and center, Marmot made its Women's Lobo's Convertible Pant with Upcycle recycled nylon. When the afternoon sun heats up the landscape, zip off the bottom section to reveal a functional pair of Capri pants. When your hike turns chilly, zip the bottom section back on for full coverage.
  • Abrasion-resistant nylon stands up to trail abuse
  • Zip opening at bottom hem lets you take off and put on the bottom section without removing your shoes
  • Soft, breathable fabric feels great against your skin and helps regulate your temperature during a hike
  • DWR coating added to improve quick-dry capabilities in case you get caught in a passing shower
  • UPF 30-rated protection helps block out the sun's rays
  • Brushed tricot waistband provides added comfort when worn under a harness

Waist big but great pant

These are my favorite pants for most hikes and climbing. The waist is pretty big on them and I would recommend downsizing; however, there are belt loops if you need them.

so far, so good!

I've worn them on several day hikes, as well as daily on a 3 day backpacking trip. Love the fit and feel! Dries quick, wicks moisture, and even seems to repel water to some degree (water beads up and rolls off). The only downfall is that even with the bottom zipper unzip I can't slid the bottoms over my mid-ankle boots. They do slide over my tennies, however.

mixed review

Great fabric feel, and they seem durable, but this is the second pair where the crotch seam split - and they are NOT tight on me! I just stretched my leg to a rock. I'm disappointed, but stitching them up myself to avoid paying another $7 return fee.

Light Weight and Functional

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Bought these pants on sale for a killer price and so far so good. They are lightweight and I love the color. Great for hiking in the mountains and perfect for rock climbing. Only thing that I don't like is that the length is a bit long and you can't hem it up because there is a zipper in the way. But you can always roll them up, so I'm still a happy camper.

Nice fabric but problems

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Disappointed. The waist was way too big for the size 10 I normally wear. Zip off pants come below the knee so are not shorts. Side zipper is short and would make it difficult to get over hiking boots. Would not recommend. Returned them.

Great pants - 1 flaw

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These are great pants. They fit great, they are very comfortable, and they dry very fast. The only issue I have is that it takes 10 minutes to remove the pant legs over hiking boots. The zipper is not long enough to remove the legs easily. It can be done, just takes some patience.

Another one that doesn't fit

I found the pants tight around my thighs and the zippers tight around my lower legs. The dark khaki was slightly more yellow than I expected from the picture. They stretch nicely and seem like they would be comfy if they fit you ok but I returned mine.

First hiking pants that fit - great purchase!

I've been searching for a pair of hiking pants that actually fit (and are flattering) and this is the first one I've found... and I love them! Great material, great fit, very comfortable to wear and easy to wash. I'm 5'5" and the length is perfect (with sandals or shoes). I'm not stick straight and these pants fit well over my thighs, hips and butt. They comfortably stretch, but stay in place when I'm moving around and I don't have to hike them up. They wear well for multiple wearings between washings and were perfect for an all day hike in the mountains - not too hot or cold. Very happy with the dark gray color, very versatile. Considering another pair!

Great pant

These pants held up very well for a 6 day hike where there was some rock climbing. They dried quickly & were very comfortable. For a very humid climate they were perfect I didn't feel hot. I would recommend these.
