Great Tent

This only took myself less than 5 min to set up and take down. Plenty of room. I stand 5 ft 8 in and my head just touched the roof. Roomy for 3 people however more than that it could be a little crowded. Haven t used it yet in the rain co cant commit on that however from what I have seen it seem to be a great tent. Very light weight and packs back in the bag easily.
Not good in wind

The first time I used this tent was a disaster. That night there were 30 mph winds. 2:30 in the morning the tent collapsed on me. One of the poles had bent in half and then stuck a big hole in the fly. Granted it was windy, but our group had 5 other tents or various types (none too fancy) and none of them collapsed or broke. The customer support from backcountry.com was superb. They were very apologetic and gave me a prompt refund and for that I am very grateful.

OK - so this is one of those reviews that starts out 'I have only set this tent up in my yard but...' This tent REALLY can fit 4 people side by side (not alternating head to toe) comfortably. I know because this afternoon I made my whole family stop watching the tube and come out in the backyard and lay down inside it in their sleeping bags. At least my youngest thought this was fun. Anyway, there was PLENTY of room for the 4 of us without rubbing elbows. The vestibule (and the car) will hold most of our gear, so as long as its just sleeping bags and pads, this is perfect for a family of 4-5 depending on kid size. 4 adults could fit comfortably.
I debated quit a bit between this and the BA Big House, which gives 65 sq ft floor space compared to the Limestone's 60, but I'm pleased to say 60 is enough. Great job Marmot!

what is the difference between the limestone and halo?

The limestone is lighter and only has one door, as opposed to 2 on the halo. The halo has less room inside, I believe, but more room if you include the vestibule size. Hope this helps!

This is 4p Tent when it's rolled up and in its bag. It is easily carried. The water bottle is for size reference. Please write any questions, concerns or comments you may have. Thank you.

This tent is great, I took it out for 4 days over memorial weekend. The tent held up to the weather great and was easy to maintain. I had the gearloft and footprint with mine - they were nice and worked well. The tent is water proof so it was obviously easy to keep dry. The air flow is nice through the tent. Simply open but vestibules so air can get through their during the day while you're not using it and you'll find that it dries out quickly. The stakes were nice but the environment (rock) that I lied my tent was pretty unforgiving to them causing 1 to bend and become unusable. Overall I'd recommend this tent to anyone - It is very light for the size and if you're with a larger group you could carry it for backpacking as it packs very small if packed correctly. Thanks Marmot!
Thank you Marmot!~

CAUTION: the great price comes at a cost- whereas just about everyone else sells the complete tent package, BackCountry has chosen to "deconstruct" this one - it's the tent ONLY. The full package costs just pennies less than the full MSRP of $299!!!
Don't I feel like a chump now?
